For my new subject in art design and media I will be learning about animation and 3D animation is when you create videos that experiments with objects that appear to move it can be used in videos, movies adverts and cartoons while 3D is when you create art or videos that seem 3D and in art when you add shadow it can make the art seem realistic. I'm very exited to try this subject because it helps me learn new skills and try something new by creating animation and creating art that will seem 3D.
for animation i am learning about this app that is called adobe animation and it is very nice because it help me learn different tools and animation I created a animation of a blue butterfly that flaps its wings and to create this animation I first copied and pasted the image on adobe animation
then I created a key frame and this can help make the animation seem real when the butterfly wing move then to create the movement of the butterfly iI using the image moving tool and tried to animate a movement of a butterfly wing in each key and this is my final animation of a butterfly.

In this set design the setting is a building inside of a house in the setting it is nigh time and this is shown when they use a dark and moonlight image through the windows in the setting there are some old style pictures and furniture like sofa, pillars and stairs in the setting the colours are a grey, yellow, black and white for the floor and purple and these are very nice colours because it helps the audience feels like its the atmosphere of the house by adding props seen in the picture like doors, stairs, sofas and windows.
I think this setting is used for acting or a play as shown in the picture because the setting is on a stage.
The setting is everyday fantastical and you can tell this by how the picture setting shows a fantasy theme and how they used pillars and how the picture shows its in a the past.
I think the mood and atmosphere is calm showing a house setting or horror showing the pictures it also has a dark background with moonlight and this help create a fantasy or spooky scene and the old style furniture and lastly maybe a mysterious setting.
In the setting they use different shapes like squares, triangles, rectangles and circles for the chairs and this is important in a setting because it can help the set seem more 3D and they used a light lamp on the outside of the set and in the set design lighting is very important because it help the set not seem dark and clear.
in the sets the props are furniture floor pattern squares with black and white and some stairs and a door and finally pictures and this can help create a atmosphere of a house.

On Monday I was learning about set designs, set designs are backgrounds or a setting for a movie, play or show for our art task we have to work in groups to create our own set design and we have to choose a genre a genre is a theme of a movie like, comedy, fantasy, horror and more first to create my set design I created a mind map to write a few ideas of the different genre and some of the ideas that might be in each genre like for fantasy I wrote, castle setting, magical creatures, pyramids mummies and phoenix bird and I had some ideas for other genre theme set designs and this was very helpful because it helped me get I an idea of what my set design might be.
for my second task I chose horror for my set design and I wrote some ideas in each square and had to answer some questions some of the questions where what colours will you use?, will there be props?, what will the setting be like? and this was good because it helped me get an idea of what might be in set design. I also looked at some examples on the board of different set designs and this was helpful because it helped me get an idea of what my set design might be like.
for my final task to plan my set design I drew a few sketches of some of my different ideas of some set design that is in a horror design some examples I drew were a haunted house, a spooky forest, a island and a attic. and it was very nice to plan a draw sketches because it helps me feel inspired and to get an ideas of what the setting and set design might finally look like.

this is my animation of a bird flying I created this animation on Adobe animate for my animation it is a bird that flies out of a window and goes into a forest setting, first to create my animation I selected the image and created a keyframe. Then I used the transform- motion tween tool and motion classic tool to create the animation on the bird flying, and finally I created a new layer and I added a new background using keyframe. that is how I created my animation and I am happy with it one thing thing that did not go well is that the bird didin't have the animation to look like it was going through the window and background. But to improve I learn to create a new backrgound in the right layer but overall i'm happy with this animation

Once upon a time there was a kind girl called luna moon. She was on the way to see her sister Laura moon, when she decided to take a short cut through Central Park.
It wasn't long before luna got lost. She looked around, but all she could see were trees. Nervously, she felt into her bag for her favourite toy, Daisy, but Daisy was nowhere to be found! luna began to panic. She felt sure she had packed Daisy. To make matters worse, she was starting to feel hungry.
Unexpectedly, she saw a friendly cat dressed in a blue coat disappearing into the trees.
"How odd!" thought luna.
For the want of anything better to do, she decided to follow the peculiarly dressed cat. Perhaps it could tell him the way out of the forest.
Eventually, luna reached a clearing. In the clearing were two houses, one made from lettuces and one made from cakes.

In my art class our project is to create a set design while
working in group for our set design the theme I chose was horror and the
style and atmosphere is a scary haunted house first to create the set design I
me the midpoint on the card then using a pencil I sketched what could be inside
the house for my set design I drew a chandelier and fireplace and I drew these
because it has the image of something that could be inside a haunted house to
create a scary atmosphere
then I started to create the background. For the background I used black and grey paint and for painting I used a blending technique to
create the wall style then after using a bit of red paint I added it to the background
it make the set design seem more scary then after that I started working on the
fireplace I used red and orange for the colour of the fire then I used brown
and white paint for the outside of the fireplace and lastly I used brown paint for the floor and using black paint I drew out wood panles and this is how I created my set design overall I am very happy with it because it has the different elements of a haughted house and a 3D style. im happy with the final set design because it helpled bring a image of a haughted house what i would do diffrently next time is to add more elements to it.
for our set design we also have to create a character that will go also with the theme for my character I did a sketch of a vampire and I chose to do a model of a vampire because it's a mix of fantasy and horror which goes well with the set design theme and i'm happy with it because it helps me get an idea of what my character might look like.
For our art
class I started making the vampire model for my set design, first to create the
character I used wire to create the shape of the head, arms, legs. Then I used Sellotape
to help make it easier to create the shape of the model. Then after that I used
newspaper to create body of the character then lasty I used a material called Modroc
using this I dipped a small piece of Modroc in water to create the last layer
of the character to make it look more 3D.

template as a comic to help me get an idea of a story and what might my
animation will be for my story it is about a girl who loves to read but then
she discovers a portal that takes her back in the past she realized that she
was in the time of the dinosaurs the climax and problem in the story is that a
flying dinosaur starts chasing her and the time machine gets broken but she manages
to go inside the time machine and goes to a castle world then she figures out
to send a message to the present time and goes back home.

In media I was learning to create an animation
using stop motion. While working in a group we used different props like dolls
and other objects, the equipment I used was a camera and a tripod a tripod is
like a stand that allows the camera to not move. Stop motion is a photographing
animation it includes different frames that play a sequence or animation to
give animated figures an image of movement that makes a animation. I think it
is nice because I learnt about the different camera setting and what they do
like the zoom in and out setting. I learnt how to create an animation by moving
the different objects and a taking pictures to then create an animation

Today in may art class I was completing my model for our group set design which is a haunted house my model I'm doing for my set design is a vampire first I started painting the model head and hands using white and beige paint then for the clothes used purple and black paint. after that to create the face i used red paint for the eyes as it gives an image of what a vampire might look like then i used white and black paint for the eyes to make seem more 3D then i used black paint for the eyebrows and eyelashes and finally red and white paint for the teeth. before painting my model I added more Modroc to to make my model seem more realistic and after I add fabric for the models hair and clothes. i really like how turned out and what i would do differently next time is use a diffrent colour for the head.

05/03/2025 stop motion animation
Today I learnt to create stop motion animation using a software called adobe premiere, my animation is a bug walking and then disappearing from the frame. In my last media class I used a camera for stop motion then I took pictures each time to create a stop motion then to create my animation I first had to select the pictures I was going to use by going on select files. then I selected and added it to the timeline the speed of the animation was to slow so to change the speed I selected all the frames and changed the speed of the animation and this is how I created my stop motion animation and I’m happy with this animation and I think it went well because I learnt to use a new software and new skills which was effective to create my final stop motion animation.

today i was learning on how to create a soundscape using a softwere called adobe audition, it is a softwere where you can create different sounds for my soundscape i combined sounds to create a rain
and thunder sounsdcape creating a outside setting while also adding bird sounds.
first to create my soundscape i downloaded the sounds i was going to use the sounds used i use was birds sounds, rain sounds and wind.
then once the sounds where downloaded i copied each sound in the keyframe.

what went well and what problems you had to overcome? what went well is that I was able to use a range of different sounds and by using different elements in a soundscape what went well is I was able to experiment with different sounds and use different tools. the problem I had to overcome was on how to cut parts of the sound but to overcome it i used the ruler tool to cut parts of the sound. i think my final soundscape is nice and what i would do differently is to add a picture.

this is my final model in my scene I like it because it shows the different elements and atmosphere of a haughted house what I think went well is how the different things in the haughted house is painted well like the detail in the lights while also the 3D image of the fire and windows I also like how I added clocks and pictures to the final scene to create a spooky setting, and finally I think the set design went well and im happy with it. i also like how the haughted house has a spooky floor setting by painting a floor plank style similar to wood it shows how the haughted house has a old style to it giving it a scary setting.
this is my model in the scene i happy with it becuase i like how i made it have different characteristics of a vampire which fits the theme of the haughted house i also added hair and outfit to the model and i like how it made the charchter seem more 3D what i would do diffrenty next time is to chnage the colour of the vampire becuase in the final scene it seems yellow but overal im very happy on how it turned out and how it looked in my final scene creating a scary atmpshere.
